Mark D. Sutherland Mark started TTA in 1986 after spending the previous 8 years in the criminal and felony misdemeanor fields in Pasadena, CA. Since TTA's birth in 1986, Mark has handled over 5,000 court trials and has compiled a 60% win record, or as Mark likes to put it, "I have lost more cases than any other attorney, but won more as well!" Mark has appeared on a variety of television and radio shows, has lectured at police seminars and written 2 self help guides to traffic ticket defense, Traffic Ticket Defense in 1992 and Traffic Ticket Defense for the Trucker in 1995. Due to Mark's reputation and knowledge of traffic law, Mark sits as Judge Pro Tem periodically. Mark enjoys collecting and sampling fine wine and cheeses and spending time with his family.
John R. Farris, Jr. Since joining TTA in 1990, John has established himself as one of the prominent traffic attorneys in California, and has been a tremendous asset to TTA. His "famous Blue Motorcycle Defense" against the Laguna Beach, CA police department has become somewhat of folklore among Southern California attorneys. John's diligence and keen knack for detail forced the Laguna Beach Police Department to repaint their entire motorcycle fleet as it did not meet their own color specification. It is this kind of quick thinking and diligence that has made TTA one of the most successful law firms in California. John attributes much of his success to Professor Hans Krimm of Colorado College who constantly challenged him to never take life for granted. John's oldest son, David, was recently admitted to Harvard University where he plans to study Mathematics. This ensures John will be working long hours for years to come for TTA!
